Os presentamos en exclusiva «ZUCKERGUSS» el nuevo álbum de los austriacos SUCCOPUSS.

SUCCOPUSS es un trío de blues pesado de Viena (Austria) y sus raíces inconfundibles y su trasfondo musical se basan profundamente en el Blues.
Krystof Hümer & Tobias Paul formaron la banda en 2013 a los que se unió Michael Westerkam se unió a la banda con su inconfundible saxofón y coros conviertiendose en un elemento indispensable en el sonido de las banda. El trío toca una interesante mezcla de jazz, blues y hard rock aderezado con voces empapadas de ron con algún tema cantado en español como es el caso de «Comer», en el que los ritmos latinos se fusionan con el blues canalla de garito de luces tenues.

«Swine» nos ofrece fuertes dosis de boogie rock y rockabilly a ritmo frenético en contraste con «No Pain» un corte en el que el blues nuevamente es leit-motiv de la banda arropado por las vibraciones jazz salidas del saxo de Michael, o la elegante «Jean Luc» y húmedo y seductor tema con tonos canallas evocador de algún club nocturno en medio de la madrugada.

La versatilidad del álbum hace que encontremos temas como «Giftler» en el que los pasajes vintage se adornan con una atractiva y sutil psicodelia con el blues presente como en el resto del álbum.

«0110» se desarrolla bajo un sonido sucio en el que el blues y garage-rock se unen en una causa común adornados de efluvios lisérgicos y las habituales dosis jazz.

Entre atmósferas más psicodélicas «Satana» pone la nota ácida a un trabajo crudo pero fresco sin renunciar al blues más pegajoso y seductor. Aquí la banda nos ofrece su corte más experimental.

«Lucky Luke» cierra el álbum con acordes de piano prescindiendo de los registros vocales y mostrando el amor de la banda por el jazz y el blues bajo ritmos de cabaret.
Esta constelación de sonidos ya se podía escuchar en su aclamado EP homónimo lanzado en 2017.

Es el primer álbum de larga duración y marca un hito en la historia de la banda.
Las 10 canciones fueron grabadas por Daniel Schatz en Primitive Studios Vienna en 2019.

We present you exclusively «ZUCKERGUSS» the new album by Austrians SUCCOPUSS.

SUCCOPUSS is a heavy blues trio from Vienna, Austria, and their unmistakable roots and musical background are deeply based on Blues.
Krystof Hümer & Tobias Paul formed the band in 2013 and Michael Westerkam joined the band with his unmistakable saxophone and backing vocals becoming an indispensable element in the sound of the bands. The trio plays an interesting mix of jazz, blues and hard rock seasoned with rum-soaked voices with some song sung in Spanish such as «Comer», in which Latin rhythms merge with the blues rogue disreputable club. «Swine» offers us strong doses of boogie rock and rockabilly to a frenetic rhythm in contrast to «No Pain», a track in which the blues is once again the band’s leitmotif wrapped in jazz vibrations from Michael’s saxophone, or the elegant «Jean Luc» and wet and seductive theme with rogue tones reminiscent of some nightclub in the middle of the morning.

The versatility of the album makes us find songs like «Giftler» in which the vintage passages are adorned with an attractive and subtle psychedelic with the blues present as in the rest of the album.

«0110» takes place under a dirty sound in which blues and garage-rock come together in a common cause adorned with lysergic effluvia and the usual jazzy doses.

Among more psychedelic atmospheres «Satana» puts the acid note to a raw but fresh work without giving up the most catchy and seductive blues. Here the band offers us its most experimental song.

«Lucky Luke» closes the album with piano chords, dispensing with the vocal registers and showing the band’s love for jazz and blues under cabaret rhythms.
This constellation of sounds could already be heard on his acclaimed self-titled EP released in 2017.

It‘s the first full length album and marks a highlight in the bands history.
The 10 songs were recorded by Daniel Schatz at the Primitive Studios Vienna in 2019.
